Kia ora, I'm Sebastian Boyle (or, more precisely, a webpage representing him). I make boring things sound engaging, engaging things sound meaningful, and am pretty good at finding ways to get them in front of people.
Across more than 15 years of marketing and communications experience, I've honed a unique knack for creating emotional connections between brands and their audiences. It's what I love to do, and I'd love to do it with you.
As a starting point, I've created a couple of quick examples of how we could enhance existing Kathmandu blog content to be more engaging, easy-to-skim, and SEO-friendly. Any actual content I created would be consistent with your brand strategy and marketing goals, but it hopefully gives you an idea of how we could try different things together.
This takes your existing layering blog post and adds a little more interactivity and depth. Quotes from different members of your team (including in-store staff) helps show off your expertise, and a recommendation web app brings a little of that face-to-face expertise to the visitor's screen.
Read ArticleThis dives further into how to select the right poles through interactive features. It also gives more detailed guidance on how to use those poles. By showing we've tested these techniques ourselves, it creates a stronger link between the products and what we've brought to them.

I've always liked helping people understand new concepts and showing them different ways to see the world through words and pictures. From writing stories at primary school to performing Shakespeare in front of hundreds of people, I've always found interesting ways to do that, and I'm at my best when I'm doing it as much as I can.
My approach is a blend of creative thought, strategic nous, and analytical savvy, all coming together to create content that inspires people to think and act. From editing a 32-page magazine every week to managing 20,000 incoming social media messages during the 2023 Census, each step in my journey has strengthened my skills to weave ideas and messages that connect.
And I just happen to have a real interest in the outdoors and in the history of clothing production (truly!), too. As someone who enjoys exploring the world in a slightly different way, I feel I understand the way you want the world to see you pretty well.
As your Content & Social Manager, I'll bring your "out there" ethos to life everyday, showing people in New Zealand, Australia, the United States and beyond why you're the brand for them.
I'm excited about the potential to help inspire more people to experience the transformative power of the outdoors, and show them how Kathmandu can help them do it.
